From the editorial, issue no. 1 (2026)
The central concern of Et al. relates to the ongoing transformation of academic institutions under increasing pressure to adopt economically oriented models that position students as consumers and teachers as service providers. In this context, the journal’s editorial focus is directed toward working conditions in the performing arts and in higher education in the field of performance, with particular emphasis on emotional regimes and identity formations structured by ableist norms. Furthermore, the journal examines the effects of neoliberal managerial and audit logics on artistic labor, pedagogical relations, and the production of subjectivity.
